About

Millennial Finance Basics (“MFB”) will discuss the lessons which were overlooked during your undergraduate years.  The goal of this site will be to provide new entrants to the “real world” with an understanding of key personal finance topics including budgeting, savings, investing, retirement planning, debt and more.

The author is a full-time financial professional who has spent the last 10 years managing money for investors, corporations, and shareholders. While the world of “high finance” can appear to be, and often is, overly complicated and filled with jargon, the foundations of strong personal finance can be easily broken down into a few core concepts.

MFB will look to take the technical financial expertise gained over 10 years in Investment Banking & Asset Management, and pair this with the lived experiences of solid personal financial management to deliver you the building blocks of long-term financial success.

This will not be get-rich-quick advice. It will, however, provide you with the tools to build life-long financial success through managing your income, properly budgeting, and wisely investing your excess income. It does not matter if you make $40,000 per year or $400,000 per year, the same core financial habits will still provide you with financial security or financial hardship.

MFB looks forward to helping you lay the foundation to financial success.
